Eucharistic Ministry

Inside a church with wooden vaulted ceiling and stained glass windows, a large congregation is gathered for a service or event, with some people standing and others sitting.

Eucharistic Ministry provides a unique opportunity to experience liturgy and Holy Communion in a personal and impactful way.

The act of ministering communion to fellow parishioners is humbling and deeply spiritual.  We encourage anyone seeking a stronger connection to the liturgy and their faith to consider exploring this ministry.

We are always seeking additional ministers to join us!  As we look to the future of Sacred Heart as a personal parish we seek to engage with the Catholic Community beyond Lexington and welcome all who have an interest or calling to participate more directly in Liturgy.

The ministry currently consists of a small but committed group of experienced ministers who are happy to train others.  We typically setup a “shadow” phase where new ministers walk through the steps a few times with an experience minister and can observe them during mass before being independently assigned to serve.
